About Self Employed Mum

Welcome back to Self Employed Mum. Thanks for visiting!

Self Employed Mum is about keeping it simple for the self-employed mum’s of today. Set up by two time poor mums juggling various business activities, we wanted to provide ’smart bitesize hacks for avoiding spontaneous combustion’ because we recognise that there is a lot of information and services out there, and wanted to provide somewhere that would cut through the fluff and cut to the chase, offering opinions, advice, and solutions in quick, easy to digest short posts. We’re effectively coolhunting the best of what’s out there for the mum who’s running her own business whilst juggling kids, housework, partner, and everything else in between.

We haven’t got time to set aside an hour to sit back and read long articles – we’re often grabbing five minutes here and there as we chug back a cup of tea or coffee – and we recognise that there are lots of other mum’s who are just like us. We’ll tell you what it is, why it could be useful to you, your business, or keeping your sanity intact, and what the pros and cons are with plenty of humour and reality thrown in for good measure.

Hello all this is a wondeful site-I thought to sound this out to you all!

I’m a hard-working single mum who works fulltime as well as running a part-time business as a confidence coach, and I have also set up two community projects.

I’m fed up of being stereo-typed as lazy and a benefit scrounger. Gingerbread are finally doing something about it. What do you think of this ad http://www.gingerbread.org.uk
